Plant-Based Books

Books Promoting a Vegan, Whole Food Diet:

Before I learned about the many benefits of raw food I learned about why it is helpful to eat vegan food from T. Colin Campbell’s book The China Study. I love John Robbins’ book  Diet for a New America.Even though  it was written in 1987 he clearly outlines the problems with the SAD diet (Standard American Diet) and how it is messing up our health, environment, and animals’ dignity. John Robbins’ newest book Healthy at 100 outlines the benefits of vigorous physical activity and eating a mostly plant-based, whole food diet. He describes four different cultures that produce the most centenarians.

Raw Food Uncooking Books:

The best uncook book that got me started was Raw Food Made Easy by Jennifer Cornbleet.  The book keeps recipes simple yet tasty. You can also get the Raw Food Made Easy DVD. Another helpful book with clear instructions and pictures on raw food uncooking techniques is Healthful Cuisine by Anna Maria Clement.

Raw Food Information Books:

Raw food books I like are 12 Steps to Raw Foods by Victoria Boutenko and Dr. Gabriel Cousens’ book Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine.
